Kinship
Kinship is a child mentoring program designed to match children ages 5 to 13 with adult mentors from the Red River Valley community in an effort to build friendships.  Kinship mentors spend one hour each week with a child.  Though an hour per week may not seem like a lot, it can make an enormous difference in the life of a child.  Kinship is a non profit organization focused on helping build stronger children.  Having a genuinely caring adult friend can help develop a positive self image, build character, generate confidence, broaden a child's horizons, and provide guidance through the obstacles of life!  Contact Rebeka Christensen at 218-630-5361.

Southern Valley Health Watch
The SVHW is always looking for help in leading efforts to improve the health of children and adults in Richland and Wilkin Counties.  SVHW is divided into work groups that address specific concerns which are: Active Lifestyle, Tobacco Prevention, Healthy Eating and HIV/AIDS.  Membership is open to anyone who desires to participate.
